PVM Management Team
Lynnell is a fourth generation farmer who graduated from the University of Washington in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Oceanography and Marine Biology. After graduating from U of W, Lynnell purchased a small peach orchard in Wapato, WA and began farming and packing the fruit at the families fruit warehouse. Currently Lynnell is the President of Brandt’s Fruit Trees, LLC (BFT), Proprietary Variety Management (PVM), Associated International Group of Nurseries (AIGN), Pink Lady America (PLA), and a former president of Northwest Nursery Improvement Institute (NNII). Lynnell and wife Marcie have been involved with the businesses for many years and now their three sons, Tyler, Ryan and Kevin, are all involved in the family businesses.
Kevin graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelors in Business Administration. He worked in the family business for multiple years managing the shipping crew as well as managing the packing line. He began working in the nursery in 2012 managing the test blocks and aiding in sales and international relations. Kevin also works closely with Northwest Nursery Improvement Institute (NNII) and currently serves as the Vice President.
John graduated from Purdue with a PhD in Plant Virology in 1981. John is the General Manager of Pink Lady America, a company that orchestrates all the marketing activities for Pink Lady® brand apples in North America. John also works with Roy Farms, a large hop growing company that also grows apples, cherries and blueberries; Fall Creek Farm & Nursery, Inc. a blueberry breeding company and has an extensive background in launching new products in the bread, snack foods, and beer industries, working for such companies as Anheuser Busch, Frito lay, and was vice president of the research and new products group at Earth Grains and Yakima Chief. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Heritage University in Toppenish, WA.
Director of Marketing and Operations
Kathryn graduated with an undergraduate degree in Marketing and Communications and studied business at the Sloan School, MIT. As Marketing Director, Kathryn is heading up branding, strategic marketing, and consumer insights for PVM. Having worked on the Packer/Shipper and Marketing side of the industry, Kathryn brings a strong knowledge of retail marketing, merchandising, produce launches, and project management. Managing all digital media, Kathryn has extensive knowledge in new marketing concepts, consumer trends, and consumer reach.
